The company is now run by the fourth generation family. The present family team consists of the late great Fred Lord’s daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Gordon Brownlie, and grandson and granddaughter-in-law Alex and Emma Brownlie. Millie Lord started the business in a small confectioners shop premises in Whitworth in 1934. Son Fred Lord transferred to larger premises in 1952 to the 3 story ex Co-op bakery in Whitworth expanding his growing catering business.
